Puppy Socialization Checklist
Socialization encompasses WAY more than just play with other dogs, more importantly than play is learning how to calmly coexist around different; dogs, people and stimuli. The first 16 weeks of your puppy’s life are CRITICAL to development. During the first 16 weeks your puppy is observing and learning rapidly, they are figuring out the world around them and what their role in it is. They are constantly watching you; what you allow, what you don’t allow, are you fair, trustworthy and capable. NOW is the time to create the adult dog you wish for. Expose them to as many things as possible and work them through any fears to create a happy, healthy, confident and mentally-sound adult dog. Then train them in the presence of these different stimuli. Use this downloadable free PDF checklist as a guide!

Choosing a Reputable Breeder
When considering a new puppy, your options are endless and sometimes quite daunting! It’s important to understand what breeds will fit your lifestyle, and then choosing a breeder that matches those needs! Not all breeders are in the industry for the right reasons, and it’s important to choose a responsible breeder who truly cares about the dogs they raise!
If you’re looking for a family pet, you want a breeder that is prioritizing pet behaviors. You do not necessarily need a Champion or Working bloodline, these sound desirable but they are not right for everyone! Dogs with high drive often require vigorous exercise and extensive training. They are typically the dogs that are labeled hyperactive or “crazy” by the average family. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these bloodlines, but they’re not always right for the average family looking for a calm and low-maintenance pet!

HUA Friendly Low-Purine Treats
A Downloadable PDF with low-purine treat options for dogs with HUA (Hyperuricosuria). Remember that it is important to keep track of the number of purines your dog is consuming a day even when using low-purine treat options. For dogs with HUA, high-moisture, alkalizing & low-purine foods should be top priority. Ditch the dry cookies, jerky and acidifying treats to help keep your dog crystal and urate-urolith free!
