our Approach
Autumn offers Balanced dog training with a focus on Cynology or “dog psychology”, and Applied Ethology to help you better understand your pet and live together symbiotically. What this means, is that we completely tailor your dogs training program to meet THEIR specific needs. We incorporate positive reinforcement to encourage wanted behaviors and teach you how to safely and humanely correct and discourage unwanted behavioral patterns. The combination of these two methods allows us to completely tailor your dogs training program to their exact needs. No two dogs are alike and their training plan should reflect that.
Our programs are uniquely tailored to fit the needs of each dog and family, we combine positive reinforcement methods, and the use of prong collars, slip-leads, e-collars (not shock collars), and other tools to teach you how to safely and humanely discourage undesirable or dangerous behaviors. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have on our methods and discuss what may or may not apply to your dog.
We also know that based on the biology of Canines and Felines they have very different and specific diet requirements. In order to not only maintain your pets health, but allow them to thrive, they need a biologically appropriate diet. In this day and age there is countless options, companies, and stores to choose from, it can become very overwhelming quickly! Autumn has had the wonderful opportunity to work closely with pet supply stores from mom & pop shops to large box stores, taking meetings with dog and cat food manufacturers and even touring facilities! This has allowed her to examine pet food companies and their ingredient panels up close and personal! Diet is the FOUNDATION of your pets health, it can effect anything from attention span and behavior to serious health conditions. “I want to share my knowledge with you to set you and your pet up for success!”
